The Department of Hindi was established in the year of 2017. It was handling by Professor Dr.Karthika.S.K. The Department consists above 30 students including 1st year and 2nd year. Within a short period of 3 years we brought several academic and cultural achievements.
India is a banquet of different languages and dialects. Language has a big impact on the daily lives of members of any race, creed and region of the world. Language helps us to express our feelings, desire and queries to the world around us. Hindi has a direct line of evolution to Sanskrit. It is the fourth most spoken language in the world. Hindi written in the Devanagari Script is one of the official languages of the Union Government of India and has been playing a great role as a link language of our linguistically diverse country. PART I Hindi is offered at the UG level. The students are encouraged to learn the language. The syllabus focuses on the development of language skill, literary appreciation and communication aspects of language.
The objective of the canteen and meal service is to protect by reducing the risk of food borne illness, with proper sanitary conditions, and preventing adulterated food. From the very beginning of the college in 2012 the college canteen has been functioning efficiently. The canteen is located inside the college. The seating capacity of canteen is 150, There is separate dining room for both Girls and Boys.
We are providing a variety of nutrition’s and attractively presented food and drinks at a reasonable cos. The management of the canteen is directly under the control of KIDS belongs to RC Diocese Kuzhithurai.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) –The People’s University - is a central University established in 1985 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. IGNOU is one of the leading Universities in India that offers various degree, diploma, certificate and doctoral courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. There are 67 Regional Centres, 21 School of Studies and approximately 2667 Learner Support Centres and the Study Centre 40031 functioning at Nanjil Catholic College of Arts and Science, Kaliakkavilai is one among them coming under the jurisdiction of Thiruvananthapuram Regional Centre.
Intimation regarding the establishment of Study Centre as well as approval for activation of the following courses has been received on 11 th June 2015 and the IGNOU Study Centre 40031 was inaugurated on 6 th July 2015 with pomp and joy. The Study Centre was inaugurated by our beloved Bishop of Kuzhithurai Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Jerome Dhas Varuvel and Dr. V. Girija Devi, Regional Director, Thiruvananthapuram was the Chief Guest.
Placement and training plays a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is the dream of every student to get placed in a top organization visiting their campus for recruitment. Keeping this key aspect into consideration, it is realized that training is important for students to enhance their employability skills and achieve good placement in various Industries.
At present, the competition for employment is increasing every day and placement has become a challenging task. Training of students and equipping them with life skills has become an important responsibility of the institution. Along with technical expertise, development of a holistic personality is also necessary. To meet out these requirements, a fully fledged placement and training cell is operating in our college to enhance the capabilities of our graduates on par with the industry standards.
