Department of English offers English Literature and English Second Language programs in the campus from the inception of the college in the year 2012. It is one of the largest departments in the college offering a variety of academic programs. It provides two Undergraduate programs (2012 and 2015), a Masters Program (2015) and an MPhil Program (2017) in the field of English Literature.

Special concern is given for the improvement of soft skills and Language Labs help the students to learn English through new technologies. Literary, academic and cultural competitions, competitive examinations are provided to train the students in the art of writing, speaking, reading and listening skills. International and National seminars, webinars and interactions with native speakers are promoted to provide innovative educational experiences. Research experience is inculcated through research paper presentation and publications.
